10/24/2022 0 Comments Ark dilo egg farm![]() Suffice to say, i had enough kibble to tame 2-3 rex's at lvl 120, within a few days. to test i used a whole day(well almost) where i just stood next to the farm, and kept them in un-stasis, and the result? almost 3-5 eggs per 20th minut, wheras i had used a few weeks just to gather 20. I theorised that it was because the dinos where kept in un-stasis, and the eggs where dropping above the ground. I realised that whenever my friends where on, eggs started to spawn. My experience: I had an egg farm on a hillside/mountain area, and i could not understand why i had no eggs at all. The spawn chance is once every 20th minut, regardless if you're there or not *If you decide to have foundations, or have the dinos standing ontop of a celling, there's a chance the eggs will fall through, and you'll have to destroy the foundation/celling/ to get to the eggs. The eggs are therefore deposited under the ground and you'll have no way to reach them.Ī few facts: *Build on the beach, this is the point on the island, that are the lowest, minimizing/eliminating eggs going under the ground Which mean whenever you come back from your adventures(however long they can be) And the dinos go into un-stasis, they pop out of the ground. ![]() When they go into stasis, they kinda fall through the foundations / grounds. The issue where people has lots of dino's, that are mate boosted - but not producing any eggs can be because of where the dinos are. ![]() Egg Farming for the Kibble Rework :: Ark. Also don't forget that fertilized eghs can also be used for kibble in a pinch.Regarding the stasis comment someone mentioned: This is true, to a certain point. Something i realized is that the Trike Egg was labeled as small when its a Medium. Like others mentioned get an oviraptor as they are essential for keeping egg production constant. ![]() You also get get the extra xp from building. I lose many eggs to them falling through the ceiling tiles but I still retrieve a good number of them. I made a elevated coop for scorprions that has 2 males and 11 females in it. Currently it's just put a male in with 5 or so females and wait. Again, this is unnecessary and space/time consuming but makes harvesting a lot easier, especially on dinos that knock you about with their tails. There's nothing you can really do unfrotunately, there is no trick to egg farming. 2-3 minutes after you come back all the dinos pooped/lay an egg. ![]() You USED to have to let the dinos go into stasis (all humans go a good distance away) for like 5 minutes then come back. If you position them with their cloaca over the upper part of the ramp, thier eggs and poops will roll down the ramps which makes harvesting a lot easier. I can't remember if they have a higher rate or not. This is completely unnecessary but i put all of my dinos at the top of ramps. I've only just started playing after a 12 month break but pretty sure there a limit to how many eggs can be layed in an area and due to the speed dodos lay them, they will block other dinos from laying. This is great HOWEVER when you are ready to start harvesting other dino eggs, kill all of your dodos. 4 dodos can easily give you around 50 eggs over a couple of irl days of play. ![]()
